DevSweep collects no data. It has no network access, no analytics, no tracking, and no user accounts. Everything the app does happens entirely on your Mac.
Information we collect
None. DevSweep does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or usage data. We have no servers, and the app never sends anything off your device.
How DevSweep works with your files
DevSweep scans folders you explicitly grant it access to, in order to find regenerable developer caches and build artifacts. This all happens locally:
The app reads folder names and sizes only to show you what can be cleaned. It does not open, read the contents of, copy, or transmit your files.
Folder access is granted by you through the standard macOS file picker and stored only on your Mac (as a security-scoped bookmark) so you don't have to grant it again next launch. You can remove that access at any time from the app's Folders menu.
When you choose to clean an item, it is moved to the Trash on your Mac. Nothing is deleted permanently by the app, and nothing leaves your computer.
Network access
DevSweep makes no network connections. It works fully offline.
Third parties
DevSweep contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or software development kits. No data is shared with anyone, because no data is collected.
Children's privacy
DevSweep does not collect any information from anyone, including children.
